Wish # 1063 - Love for Logan
Logan is a 5-year-old, adorable, active boy with moderate to severe eye impairments. He loves playing sports. Having sport prescription eyeglasses/goggles will allow him to be involved in athletic activities and live a relatively normal life while enjoying a sport. HUGS provided the family a VISA gift card to cover the cost of his sports eyewear, plus a little extra to go toward any gear he might need. Logan has a two year old brother and a five month old baby brother, who are just as adorable as he is!
Wish #1101 - Partnering with
Pink Heals Joliet Chapter
Bobbi is battling breast cancer and wanted a wish of family time. With the help of a friend of one of our wish committee members and a very generous anonymous contributor through the Joliet Slammers, we were able to gift season tickets for the entire family. Hugs also provided a Visa card for food and merchandise to enjoy at the games. The icing on the cake was being able to partner with Pink Heals Joliet Chapter on the surprise visit to her house to deliver the wish, which by the way was one of Pink Heals largest visits to-date.

We so appreciate the continued support and recognition of our community!!
What a fun day supporting the 2023 Joliet ReStore Habitat for Humanity Homes for Hounds event! This year's entry was a 'Nashville Nights' themed whiskey barrel indoor doghouse and was the winner of the Judges Choice Indoor Doghouse category. The doghouse will be donated to the 2024 Shorewood Hugs Chocolate Ball where it will be a silent auction item.
Shorewood Hugs was recognized by the Three Rivers Festival for 15 years of supporting the wristbands for Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Will County to allow the children in the program to attend the carnival at the Three Rivers Festival for free. Award accepted by our President, Nadine Baxter.

These lovely grandparents lost their beautiful daughter Crystal to cancer.
They are now raising their cute 10-year-old granddaughter, who is a fashionista. We gifted her gift cards to shop for summer and school clothes and her grandparents were given gift cards to their favorite restaurants. This family is so loving and appreciative!

Suppport from our Community
We had the great honor of receiving a large donation from Will County Brewing Company! This donation was made possible by the recent Brew Run!
Thank You to Will County Brewing Company for your extreme generosity and for choosing HUGS to support at your annual Brew Run! Thank you to all of the runners that participated in this event which made this donation possible!
We received a very generous donation from Crane Composites. The donation was nominated by an employee who has a family member that was a recipient of one our wishes. Thank you for your support of Shorewood Hugs.
It’s been over a year since we’ve been able to do any in person volunteering. It was so wonderful to take a group of our senior Junior HUGS members to pack food at Feed My Starving Children! These girls are amazing and truly enjoy community service. We are so proud of them and all that they have accomplished at such young ages.
Sending big HUGS to all of you as you finish your high school years and head off to college.
Thank you to our community for voting our Shorewood HUGS Chocolate Ball one of the "Best Fundraising Event" in Will County!
